Prof. Chomba meets Dental Training School Members of staff

Vice Chancellor for LMMU, Prof. Elwyn Chomba has challenged Lectures and members of staff at the Dental Training School to revitalize education and training of students at the institution by fostering a dynamic and innovative academic environment that would create a vibrant learning atmosphere for students.

Prof. Chomba urged Lecturers at the institution to aim for teaching excellence that would set LMMU apart and make it unique from other Universities offering similar programmes.

“As pioneers of the newly established Levy Mwanawasa Medical University, aim to create a future for LMMU that generations to come, would be proud of”’ Prof. Chomba implored.

The Vice Chancellor was speaking at an interactive meeting she held with members of staff on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Dental Training School.

Dental School is one of the four health service and training institutions that make up LMMU. Others are Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching Hospital (LMUTH), former Chainama College of Health Sciences and Chainama Hills Hospital.

The Levy Mwanawasa Medical University (LMMU) is a Government University that was founded in 2018. It is thelargest purpose-built health training institution in the country and a National Hub for training health workers and coordinating health training in all the 10 ProvincialHubs (Government Training Schools) in Zambia.
