Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching Hospital (LMUTH) has scooped two awards at the just ended Africa Public Service Day held at the East Park Mall in Lusaka.

Her Honour, Mrs. Mutale Nalumango, Acting President of the Republic of Zambia, handed over the prestigious awards to the hospital at the colourful Africa Public Service Day celebrations yesterday.

The awards won by the celebrated hospital were: second place for being the most resilient institution during the COVID-19 pandemic and third place for being the most Customer Centric Institution.

LMUTH is the first and largest COVID-19 care facility in Zambia and contributed and continue to contribute incalculably to the fight against the dreaded corona virus.

The hospital is a referral center for corona patients and the foremost isolation centre for mild, severe and critical COVID-19 patients in the country.
